Join a delegation from Ypsomed, a leading Swiss developer and manufacturer of injection and infusion systems for self-medication and a renowned diabetes specialist, for a night of MedTech talks at swissnex Boston on April 25th.

Ulrike Bauer, Senior Vice President Marekting & Sales Delivery Systems, will give a talk on the Swiss MedTech and Digital Health landscape. Her presentation will be followed by James Ryan, Senior Editor and Co-Founder of Medtech Boston, and by Hans Urich Lehmann, Senior Vice President Technology at Ypsomed.

About the Speakers

Ulrike Bauer is the Senior Vice President Marketing & Sales Delivery Systems, with Ypsomed (pre-2003 with Disetronic) since 2001 in different Marketing & Sales functions and since 2014 a member of Executive Management. Previously Product Manager with Mettler Toledo (1996 – 2001). Ulrike Bauer graduated in Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology at the University of Aachen and completed a postgraduate diploma in International Management at the Kalaidos University of Applied Sciences in Zurich.

James (Jim) Ryan is the Chief Operating Officer of Medstro.com, the digital platform for creating communities for medicine and innovation, and the Executive Editor of MedTechBoston.com. Over the past three years, he has led business development, product development and managed major roll-outs of community sites with large organizations such as The New England Journal of Medicine, the American Medical Association, Boston Scientific, Philips, Google, and Partners Connected Health. Additionally, he has created and emceed widely successful innovation events like the Boston Scientific Connected Patient Challenge II – Big Data, the Google Wearables in Healthcare Pilot Challenge, the Philips Wearables and Chronic Care Challenge, and the MedTech Boston 40 Under 40.

Hans Ulrich Lehmann is the Senior Vice President Technology at Ypsomed. From April to September 2015 he acted as a head of Operations ad interim. He has been a member of Executive Management since 2011 and is responsible for Technology. He has been with Ypsomed since 2000 (pre-2003 at Disetronic) in different positions, initially as Senior Project Manager for R&D projects, before spending several years as Vice President Manufacturing and Vice President Technology. Previously, he worked at various medical device manufacturing and injection moulding companies in Switzerland and the USA. He graduated as a mechanical engineer and completed the postgraduate programme in business administration at the University of Applied Sciences in Berne and also completed the Program for Leadership Development PLD at Harvard Business School in Boston, USA.
